When I use 2x2s for a while, some of my fingers start to hurt. I assume it's because they're all bunched together to accomodate for the size of the cube. Are there larger 2x2 speedcubes? Would it be easy to find someone to make one? 57mm seems like a good size.
If you took a random state scrambler for 3x3 or 2x2, and then altered the scramble so that any 180 moves (F2, R2 etc.) were turned into 90 clockwise moves (F, R ...), how random would the altered scramble be? Could the scramble still be considered legitimate at all?
According to the WCA rules:
4b3) Specification for the scramble program: An official scramble sequence must produce a random state from those that require at least 2 moves to solve.
Now, imagine that you're at a competition. They bring out your cube, and you see that you have a 2-move solve...

Well, I always loved slidy-puzzles, I mean they probably have an actual name but you know, I like those. I decided I wanted to learn how to cube about a week ago when I was clearing out my room (I should probably finish...
