This beats my old pb from yesterday by 16 seconds. I've been practicing this puzzle for about a week. Every solve took over 10 minutes usually. I've only done less than 20 solves in total. I only got my first sub 10 a few days ago.
Method: Double reduction
1. Reduce to 3x3x3 turns and 120...
What things do you think about when you are brainstorming for a new method or substep?
I'll try to list some of my own things:
1. Number of cases and algorithm quality
It's important to consider the number of cases for a particular step. A step with over 300-500 algs is what I would say is a...
I solved cross and centres, then Feliks finished the solve (L8E and 3x3x3).
Rough splits: 31 - 1 - 25 (1 second for the pass)
Done in Sao Paulo on the day after the World Championships 2015.
Cube: SS modded by Breandan Vallance.
EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvk4Mt1wRYs It's the same...
1. First two centres
2. Partial cross and last cross edge
3. Last 4 centres
4. Second 4 edges
5. Two F2L pairs
6. Last 4 edges
For steps 2 and 3, you can solve the last cross edge after the last 4 centres instead but I don't do this in the video...
You take a scrambled 3x3x3 and you have 20 moves (OBTM) to solve as many stickers as possible. Simple. You do not need to use all of your moves. I haven't thought about the time limit much. You can use sheets similar to the ones that you use for FM.
That last tip... >_>. L3E skip.
Thanks Billy for filming. I want to claim this is a UWR but it was a hand scramble so I'm not sure if that counts :p
This solve was done after 90 minutes and doing my first solve. If someone can link me to a decent scrambler, that would be great. I'm currently...
Registration will open on this site at 7pm on Sunday 22nd February. There is a limit of 60 competitors. The entry fee is £12, payable on the day. All events except FMC will be held...
For those that do not what this puzzle is: It's essentially a 3x3x3 supercube with tips on the centres. I guess you could also think about it like an extension to the pyraminx since these puzzles "work" in a similar fashion and have the same piece types.
I do not own one but I've been...

1. Cross + centres
2. F4L edge pairing
3. F4L Pairs
4. CLL, K4ELL
I'm really pleased with this. It's...
Using the help of ksolve, I've just discovered that it's possible to solve OLL using only one algorithm (with AUF permitted). An example of such an algorithm would be sexysledge (R U R' U' R' F R F').
EO (preserves CO):
4flip: SexySledge U SexySledge U SexySledge U2 SexySledge
