Thanks for the response. Unlike some people who want a fast cube, I'm not getting an new cube for "getting fast times." I only cube for fun, and I don't practice often. I just have been doing a lot of solving lately, and I thought I should invest in a new cube.

So corner-turning puzzles don't intrinsically have more dead ends than say, sliding puzzles? Is there any way that you could come up with the most bandaged (or jumbling, since they are actually very similar) puzzle, similar to the "Quzzle" in the article?
