What's up guys? If you guys don't know me, I have been cubing since 2012. I live in Kansas, by Kansas City, and am trying to make my way back to being active in the community. I am back to cubing after nearly a year-long break. I slowly stopped cubing summer of last year. This summer I am trying...
So I have been talking with another cuber about hosting a competition in Kansas City, KS (Well a little south of it). We are wondering how many people would likely attend. We are planning for it to be late June (so everyone is out of school). So is their interest?
Not sure about events yet...
Please don't point to the How To Practice thread. I didn't see any similar threads.
How do you actually practice? Do you just do solves? Or what? I am trying to figure out better ways to practice and a lot of you are faster than me and probably know better ways.
I mainly just do solves...
So I am getting into web development and was deciding to use my skills to make a website over winter break about my favorite thing: cubing. What is a good free web hosting service to use? I need a free one, I don't have any money to use.
So I decided screw CFOP, L2Lk is pro! So I am goin to switch. I find the approach very good and most of the algs pretty nice. Anyway, I would like your input.
What is the best approach to learn the algorithms? I obviously can't learn 100+ algs at once. Which order should I learn? What should...
More specifically Overland Park, KS.
Would anyone want to have a meetup either end of this month or Mid- to Late November. I would like to get to know the local cubers? I don't know of any good locations. Does anyone have any ideas?
I was wondering if anyone would be organizing or considering organizing a competition? I live in the Kansas City and the closest competition is either California or Harvard which is like 16+ hours drive. I could help but I don't feel like I could run one myself.
I came up with this method this morning. I guess I could call it FCOP
1. Four F2L pairs (like pcms)
2. Fix centers and place cross (D-layer) edges
I am pretty fast at it.

What do you guys think?

People ask the same questions a lot. Here are some things people should read:
1. If you over a minute, just practice. Getting under a minute isn't that hard.
2. You don't need to learn OLL, until sub-20. OLL only drops one or two seconds.
3. Don't learn algorithm f2l. Just do intuitive. I...
