Well... according to previous threads this will be the 12th year this has happened.
Basically, you use this website to determine when the clocks will go back in your location. You start a solve (physically start it, as in start the timer and turn the puzzle) a few seconds/minutes (depending...
I am in the process of learning Spanish and I am trying everything that is suggested to me. One of those things was to find somebody who's native language is Spanish, and speak with them. In return, I can answer questions you have about English and help you learn English better. I...
This was a massive shock. Before the comp, I had only gotten one sub-1:30 solve ever, a 1:25. At this comp I got a 1:28 and a 1:22 solve. Therefore two thirds of all of my sub-1:30s were in comp :P
None of these solves felt exceptionally fast. If anybody has any tips on how I could improve...

New MoYu Megaminx, Cubic Aofu an Mastermorphix
Apparently the owner of a cube shop in Korea went to YJ and took some pictures of some new MoYu puzzles.
Just a quick note, none of this is confirmed. I've just seen some pictures and wanted to share them in case they actually are released soon...
I was thinking about my PB's recently since I got an 8.35 3x3 solve not too long ago, and I thought about a PB that stood for a long long time of mine, which was a 33.xx solve. I was averaging around 45-50 at the time and the solve happened out of the blue. I flipped out, it was a...
After competitions, I've seen a few organisers/delegates uploading the scramble list to the competition's thread (example)
I was wondering if a collection of all scrambles from previous competitions (ones that upload the scramble file) already exists, and if not if one could be made?
As those who solve on TTW know, I am fairly active and try to solve with others for at least an hour a day. I think it is a great way to make new friends and speak to people who enjoy what you do. However, TTW lacks some features which would greatly improve its popularity. One of these is a...
On 20th March there will be a Solar Eclipse taking place, which will be visible for all of Europe and a portion of Asia and Africa.
The closest areas with large populations to be affected are the North of England and Scotland, and all of Greenland. It will also be very visible in the north of...
These are my official videos from Harrow Spring 2015 (including a great 4x4 Single :D)
4x4 Single - 53.67 (Part of a 1:00.78 average)
2x2 Average - 5.88 (5.14 best single)
6x6 Single - 3:43.67 (Part of a 3:57.78 [8th place])
I recorded this 7x7 solve today, and it is my second best solve. However, I am still looking to improve and get faster.
Does anybody have any tips for me specifically?
My average solve breakdown is as follows:
Centres- ~3 minutes
Edges- ~2.5-3 minutes
3x3- ~1/2 minute
Recently I decided I would have a go at learning full OLL. Right in the middle of my revision for my May - June exams. I am not a smart person.
But once I have an idea like this, I won't stop till I've done it.
I've spent the past two days, instead of learning the actual algorithms themselves...
I received my order of Custom Logos today, and so was scrolling through the WCA Regulations to see where the logos had to be placed on the non-cubic puzzles, and I came across this:
This states that logos must be placed on a centre piece and that engraved logos are allowed (except in BLD...
Whilst disassembling my Calvin's Square-1, I noticed this under the cap:
(Picture of front of cap)
(Picture of inside of cap)
Now I don't know if I'm being a noob or not, but is that right? I always thought Calvin's and MF8 Square-1's were from two different companies, but I just...
I would like to make something clear right off the bat - I hold no opinion on this whatsoever. I was just curious to see what other people thought.
Square-1 has been an official event for over a decade. It is one of the most interesting puzzles, as it is the only WCA event which contains a...
