Just spam solves. Only when you get to PLL, if you don’t recognize the case from just how you are holding the cube when you get there, stop, don’t do anymore turning, and sit there and try to deduce what case you have to a small group of possible cases. Then as you do this you’ll be able to notice more specific things and narrow it down faster and more accurately. That what I did. You technically never have to actively learn two sided PLL recognition if you just do solves and stop and try to recognize a case from the natural angle you’re at when you get to PLL. Plus once you are comfortable with how your OLL affects cp by just experience with it, it makes prediction your PLL way easier since you can already know what kind of PLL group it can fall into and then recognize faster.

When you get to PLL don't do any U moves until you can tell what case it is or at least rule out cases that it isn't. Most PLLs are easy to recognize from 2 sides and there is only a 25% chance that you get the case from an angle such that you can't see either side you execute from (or the U2 angle from where you normally recognize). It is difficult at first but the better you are at picking up patterns the easier it will be. Watch J perm's last layer tips video for some patterns when recognizing PLL.

I have never made any effort to learn 2 sided recognition but I'm confident I can recognise all of them. If you do enough solves you will eventually be able to do it. Obviously if you want to try and speed it up then fine but I don't think it's really necessary.

One good thing to do is see corner permutation from 2 sides. It’ll be no swap, diagonal swap (opposite color corners on both sides), or adjacent swap. If you see 2 as the same and one different, it’s an adj. swap. If you see opposites and one different, the bar is one the side opposite of the opposites. I hope that made sense.
