Answering some questions found in the website comments:

three questions: does it have to be a curvy copter? is it jumbled when scrambled? and where do I find algs?
a. Yes, it needs to be a curvy copter. :)
b. Yes, the scrambles lead to a jumbled puzzle; they will almost always not be in cubeshape when scrambled.
c. I'll let someone else answer this. I'm still trying to figure out fully how to solve it on my own without any help before I compete.

[QUOTE}can i use as many cubes in speed FMC or do I just use one and do linear FMC.[/QUOTE]
You can use up to 3 cubes, just like in regular FMC, along with stickers, and obviously paper and pen. Linear FMC is totally not necessary for this, although it could potentially help you with time to do so, if you happen to be really good at linear FMC. But all normal FMC techniques are valid - the only problem is, the clock is ticking!

Just did my first copter solve.

We need to develop a proper speedcubing method and fast.
I was just thinking this omg.... Its tedious as all heck. I mean... The 2Look CLLs that were developped are a huge time saver... Probably taking off two minutes realistically. But... God we can do better, right? I hope!

Hm, the 4th scramble for Curvy Copter seems to be wrong... at the end there's LB+ UL UF- UR which seems impossible.
Yeahhhh I saw impossible moves like in almost every scramble... Just a bug that we still have to work out. No problem, just stuff that still needs fixing. A new event after all.

I just tried applying the scramble, and I had no trouble at all applying the whole scramble. Maybe try again? Make sure you're turning + clockwise and - counterclockwise. Also it admittedly takes some care to get the +2 -2's right.

I also double-checked after applying the scramble by applying the reverse scramble, and I was able to get back to cubeshape by applying the reverse scramble. So I'm quite sure the scramble is fine as is.

ok so i got a 55.37 on 2-4 relay but it wont enter so @Mike Hughey please enter that if you can thx
Done.

Done.

Thanks for checking, you're right haha, I was trying to do RF instead of UR :p

Sorry for the trouble!

...i am admittedly not as good at scrambling as I thought haha.... Oops.

Is it possible for you to make a thread with your curvy copter method? Call it “Goodman”

Perhaps I'll make a video on it soon! It's derived from RedKB's tutorial (I used that years ago when I first got my Curvy Copter) but since then I forgot a lot of that and decided it'd be more fun to derive my own stuff. But yeah, not sure if it should be named after me since I certainly didn't come up with the entire thing.

I'll make a thread with a basic rundown of the method since I probably will take a while to make the video. :p
EDIT: Upon looking at the Curvy Copter Discussion thread, it seems VERY similar to other methods discussed there, so probably not worth posting about haha

May I make a suggestion for the redi cube scrambles? I Compete here on the online competition and on the Reddit online competition. Both have redi cube but the scrambles are much better on cubers.io. Instead of looking at it like a skewb its a series of R L and X rotations. I'll attach a screenshot of the scramble and they are much easier to understandBetter than skewb.PNG

Those scrambles are not random state. Our scrambles are good random state scrambles.

In theory it would be possible to generate scrambles in this notation to match our scrambles (so that the same scramble displayed in either notation gives the exact same scrambled cube). I would like to try to do that someday. But that is a programming-heavy task, and I have more important items I must do first. I do hope to do it someday, though.

Ugh. You've hit one of the bugs. It's not supposed to allow you to enter results without times, but apparently you did. Do you know the times for those solves?
It is not allowing me to enter speed FMC results, i'm putting in times and solutions but they won't submit, i was wondering if this is another bug.

Honestly I find the notation that we have here very nice to read and execute, so changing that seems like a bad idea to me^^

Yes, this is another bug - I apparently just broke something. I will try to fix it as soon as possible - in the meantime, please feel free to enter results here, and don't trust the system to record your solves. I will post again when it is fixed - very sorry for this!
