Watch the last Jperm video on youtube.
He showed the qualities and defects of each method, and chose the 2 best In general

But don't forget to read the comment section. Jperm isn't 100% experienced with Roux and ZZ and made some mistakes. If you search through the "I use 1 look cube method" comments you'll find some fair points for the other methods

I would say cfop. I know an intermediate level of cfop (almost full pll, sub 19 average), and learned roux for fun. I do not know petrus so I cannot comment on that. I found learning roux to be very easy, and I imagine that it is easier to switch from cfop to roux, than roux to cfop if you ever need to make a change. I also recommend it because almost every YouTuber uses it, so learning new improvements is easy

ZZ. It's CFOP but improved. You need EOCross and ZBLL, but it's definitely better than CFOP when done properly. Roux is also very good and probably equal to ZZ.
If you wanna be different, use LEOR. The steps are: FB (like Roux), EODFDB (EOLine but with FB solved), RB (like Petrus), ZBLL (or OCLL/PLL or COLL/EPLL). The only step without resources is the EODFDB step, but the method as a whole has potential imo.

Excuse me for my ignorance, but what is FB? Plus EoLine sounds better than EODFDB.

CFOP, you can debate between the 3 methods for 3x3 and OH (and feet but who cares about that) but cfop has NxN. Currently all 3x3, OH, feet and 4x4-7x7 WRs are with cfop and almost all world class solvers use it. By sticking with CFOP you are definitely able to be fast in all mentioned whereas if you choose zz or roux you MIGHT be able to get fast at those events.

TLDR: if you want to be fast overall for sure CFOP, if you want to be potentially fast overall use ZZ or roux.

If you want to be an allrounder with all disciplines, go with CFOP.
If you want raw 3x3/OH power, use Roux
If you're specifically into OH or even Feet, definitely try ZZ
Yes, yes, ish. If you're into 3x3, OH and feet, ZZ. If you only care about OH, Roux. If you want a decent platform for everything, CFOP, if you want to be good at 3x3, OH, feet and ish big cubes, ZZ.

first of all, using your main method learn 4LLL then you can learn different f2l techniques like cfop, roux, petrus, zz. then stick with the one you like the most.

roux has a lse finish so you can learn it last. zz has eo in the beggining and learning petrus can help you make xcrosses on cfop
