but are we counting it as a redi cube?Hey guys: There’s a new Redi Cube about to be released: View attachment 10068View attachment 10068
Yes. Why wouldn’t you? From what we’ve seen of the mechanism it’s exactly the same functionality-wise, it just has magnets and is not called the same thing.but are we counting it as a redi cube?
That’s really neat! When I get a Redi Cube (hopefully the new Yuxin one) I’ll definitely try this out! It doesn’t seem too hard to learn. Do you know how many more algs there would be? As you said, this is not necessarily all of them. Or is it? I have no idea.Reviving this thread because I developed a subset for the second layer+LL of redi cube. It's called RSLE (couldn't think of a good name). There is an explanation on the document but basically the algs are used to solve the last edge of the second layer while simultaneously solving the whole cube.

(if ur on mobile the formatting might be messed up)
hopefully this helps someone
dm me on insta @thevalk3 if you have any suggestions to add
Yeah so there are probably A LOT of more Algs, but I just picked some easily recognizable cases. Maybe if this gets good feedback I could make this a whole algsetThat’s really neat! Hold the cube with white top, green front-left, red front-right. Uppercase F, R, B, L are turns of the top corners, while lowercase f, r, b, l are turns of the bottom corners. What is the notation for the Redi Cube in the weekly competition? This is a quick, one-answer question, but I would like to know so that I can compete in it. Please answer ASAP!
Thank you very much! So, it's kind of like skewb?Hold the cube with white top, green front-left, red front-right. Uppercase F, R, B, L are turns of the top corners, while lowercase f, r, b, l are turns of the bottom corners.
(See the pic in http://rubikskewb.web.fc2.com/skewb/notation.html and ignore the different colour scheme used there.)
The notation was originally used for skewb, yes, but note that it's not the same as the WCA notation for skewb! WCA skewb scramble notation uses only four corners, not eight; they also label those four moves differently from the rubikskewb notation.Thank you very much! So, it's kind of like skewb?
The layer by layer method for the redi cube is not the fastest. What is the best/fastest method to solve the redi cube
Don't have the cube with me right now, but isn't that just making a layer?I guess making a complete edge, doing a x' and then doing one more edge
The top solvers who average 5 seconds don't do it by layer.Don't have the cube with me right now, but isn't that just making a layer?
So making 3 bars? The layer by layer method for the redi cube is not the fastest.
I guess making a complete edge, doing a x' and then doing one more edge and then x' and then finish is a faster way of solving.
I currently average around 7 seconds and how I solve it is basically just layer by layer, and I just try to reduce as many moves as I can.So making 3 bars?
Also who averages 5s so I can watch them?
Could you please make a walkthrough video? I’m slow (40s average). Also, what lubes do you use and did you mod your cube?I currently average around 7 seconds and how I solve it is basically just layer by layer, and I just try to reduce as many moves as I can.
If you want, I might be able to make a walkthrough video of some solves.
I'll see what I can do for getting a walkthrough video up. For lube, I used angstrom dignitas because I like the feel of it and DNM-37 to speed it up a bitCould you please make a walkthrough video? I’m slow (40s average). Also, what lubes do you use and did you mod your cube?
