Hey speedcubers,
It's been awhile since the last forum update, but we're making progress and planning to keep the community updated with what is going on again on a regular basis in the speedsolving world.
Mike Hughey has made a lot of changes to the speedsolving forums weekly competition which we think makes it a lot more fun! There are multiple events and now there are even unofficial events like relays and kilominx! And if you’re not that fast, don’t worry, you can still win a $15 gift card to TheCubicle.us, who sponsors these competitions, as every week a random participant is chosen to receive the prize. It's a great way to encourage regular practice and compete with others from home. Checkout the new competition website here and read the announcement post here. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated!
As it's been awhile since our last update, there have been a few world records since then, here are just a few of them recently:
You can watched videos of World Records in our video gallery forum here. You can find all WCA official results & competitions here: https://goo.gl/fwlC0u
There is also a bunch of new hardware out recently, but just to highlight a few:
