Which 4x4 Method do you use?

Right now I'm using Yau with 32223 or something for speed solves but I'm trying to work towards something like Z4 with 4x4 EPLL.

    UK Open 2012

Yep, Black plastic. I only have one though, so it just depends on who wants it more I guess (or, who is willing to pay more ahaha). I'm sure I could get hold of more Guhong V2s if more people want to buy them though.

    UK Open 2012

Does £12 seem fair? I was selling it to my bud for about £15 when they first came out and I'm guessing they're a little bit cheaper now (lightake isn't loading for me so I can't see what they're selling for) Edit: inbox/facebook me regarding stickers and lube etc. :)

    UK Open 2012

I have a Guhong V2 that I haven't used (or lubed/ stickered either haha) which I ordered for a friend who suddenly changed their mind. I can leave it as it is or sticker it and give it a quick spray with tableau if you really want, I just want rid of it right now.

    [Help Thread] ZBLL discussion

Whether it's for the right reasons or not, even trying to learn something like ZBLL will have it's benefits. Even if OP gave up after learning a couple of cases, they still could take a way a fresh way of looking at last layer and a few new triggers to experiment with. I'm only able to base this...

    [Help Thread] ZBLL discussion

OP was asking how they could learn it, not whether they should. I would guess that OP has already made up their mind that they would like to at least try ZBLL so why try to persuade them otherwise using what appears to be simply your opinion? This is not the place to debate whether ZBLL is...

    Edge orientation (ZZ)

I personally wouldn't find that helpful; for me, I just check if an edge is good or bad, and having to pay attention to top colour as well would take more effort for me at least. Plus, you may get cases where you have an odd number of mis-oriented F2L edges, which could throw some people off...

    Edge orientation (ZZ)

why do I get the impression that you're being sarcastic? In case I have completely the wrong end of the stick, try this

    Edge orientation (ZZ)

I'd say that there isn't necessarily a "best time" to orient edges, more that it depends on the solver and how they prefer to solve. For one-handed, not rotating the cube can be really helpful (a big selling point of ZZ) but it is not necessary to achieve good times; some people can rotate the...

Tresling - Cubing and Tetris - Battle

I play Tetris! Although I am pretty awful (sprint PB is like 1:41, average 1:50 on a good day). I'd love to do this if/when I get better but that may not be for a while as the only time I can play tetris is in school and I've just left. My laptop is so bad, it cannot run nullpomino at anything...

If Fridrich weren't invented, what method would you use?

I agree, and I will also choose to respond as if the poll was asking your question, as it seems like a more reasonable question to answer. Maybe the question should be revised to something which doesn't rely on a major event in cubing history not happening, such as CFOP "not being invented"...

If Fridrich wasn't invented, what do you think the WR time would be?

I would guess that most beginners would be too intimidated by this or just memorise the examples; I can only guess though. Furthermore, I wouldn't describe it as braindead as it does involve some kind of observation and creative piece manipulation (assuming this "beginner" hasn't just memorised...

If Fridrich wasn't invented, what do you think the WR time would be?

Never said it had to be, just that algs were easier than blockbuilding for most people I know. As of yet, I am not aware of any braindead methods that do not involve some form of set move sequence at one point or another (something that could be described as an algorithm, in terms of cubing)...

If Fridrich wasn't invented, what do you think the WR time would be?

I find that beginners have more trouble trying to block-build than memorising a few short algs (probably varies from person to person). True, but I don't recall reading anywhere that a hypothetical "fastest method" had to apply to a method performed by a human. Also, move optimal could also be...
