    BLD in competitions

There are very few people in Australia that do BLD, however it has picked up a little bit recently. 4BLD and 5BLD is rarely held due to the very small group of guys who compete in those events. It takes a fair bit of time too. In terms of round numbers, it's generally only one round of 3BLD due...

    Trouble With Old Pochman/M2 BLD

Edge memo: RPSE IBGV T/AFQ The slash represents a cycle break. After memorising the first 9 letters there are two remaining pieces that need to be solved (the UB and LF edges). I chose to shoot to A first as it's one of my default ones, but it doesn't matter which sticker you shoot to on either...

    Judging Certification?

Yeah something like this would definitely help. I've had some pretty questionable judges in the past and you're right, a lot of them have no idea. It wouldn't be easy to implement however it would prevent so many complications. The compulsory introduction session sounds like a pretty good idea...

    Blindfold Accomplishment Thread

Got a 3BLD 1:33.10 single and 1:45.15 mean PB earlier today, partially thanks to Jay's advice of starting a letter pair list :P

    OP/M2 Corners first or Edge

I memorise corners first with images, memorise edges with audio, solve the edges, then solve the corners. There are more edges than corners on a cube, so this order allows you to memorise a 'short' or simple image for corners, then use an audio loop for edges.

    Speedcubing in Adelaide

Hi everyone, In 2014 we held the first official WCA competition in Adelaide, and a second one was held earlier this year. The Adelaide scene is very small in comparison to Melbourne and Sydney, and we're hoping to get a bit more interest. Brock Hamann and I have created a Facebook group so if...

[Member Intro] A New Aussie Cuber

Welcome! I see you're from SA too, there's not many of us around haha. Keep practising 3x3 and try out some other WCA events like 4x4, 5x5, pyraminx or skewb. They're probably the best ones to work on whilst you're learning.

[Help Thread] Blindfolded discussion and help

Yes, there are a number of algs that you can use. I use a flipping algorithm for edges, but I still shoot to two corner stickers as I haven't bothered to learn any algs for it yet. It's a good habit to get into though. There are quite a few that you can check out here...
