Odd WCA stats/ Stats request Thread

I am pretty sure those times are extra attempts. They are usually on the bottom of the paper therefor easily can be considered as a last attempt. But even this should be fixed by the WCA delegate who double checkes every single score card after a competition. (Bence, I hope that was not a...

[ER] 15.16 OH average - Michał Pleskowicz

Great average! Insane worst time! Also: "A2c) The competitor must not see the puzzle between the time when the puzzle is scrambled and the start of the inspection phase." I'm not sure that taking the scramble sheet at competitor's table is a good idea...

Osama bin Laden killed (was: They got him.)

Since Rowe lives in New York I totally understand why this news is important for him. Also the USA has a higher risk for another terrorist attack then New Zealand, so I think it is not the same for them. You don't have to know the people in person who died near you to have emotional effects.

How tall are you? March 2011.

One more vote, just for you! :P Also: d) There is no sub category for the people who are taller than 6'1''. If there would be an option for 6'2'', 6'3'' etc. it would seem less extrem.

[Official] Almost 6x6 Single WR Explosion

Very impressive solve and don't get me wrong, but how on Earth this solve could have been WR? You had a few moves left at 2:05.xy (WR is 2:05.88) due to the display, which has a slight delay compared to the timer. Obviously you can break the WR, but this time it would have been just a bit off...

Congrats, man! I just love how your first sub-10 average has only 5 sub-10 solves. :P I sense you will have another one on camera soon! :)

    Cubing impressions (and styles)

AVG: 1. Starts a 5x5x5 solve 2. Flurts with a girl 3. Goes on a date 4. Getting the business... 5. Finishes the solve and still sub-2 ;) Breandan (early competitions): 1. Inspects the cube *shaking head* 2. Messes up the cross *shaking head* 3. Stops between every other F2L slot yet still...

CubeCast Podcast Thread - Episode 24 released!

There is no point. Breaking a WR is like turning 18 (or 21): You expect a lot from it, but nothing really changes... (However it might be different with the 3x3x3 single WR.)
