I encourage you to learn blind solving

Would it be a bad idea to learn 3-style without having experience with OP/M2? I tried to learn BLD with OP/M2 before and got tired of it because the constant setup into Y perm just felt boring and slow

    ZBLL trainer

Oh, silly me. That is actually quite useful now that I think about it.

    ZBLL trainer

I'm a bit confused. In the bottom right window, the case and the scramble shown are always different from the main scramble above. Why is that?

My quest for Sub 8 Petrus

Speaking of fingertricks and to come back to zbll once more, I would recommend that once you know coll, you could try to learn a little bit of 2GLL. Besides it being a subset of zbll, the algs are mostly really easy. Mainly T, U or L. Main reason for now is fingertricks, especially left hand...

Dayan 55mm screws needed. How do you get them?

In case your hardware shop doesn‘t have equivalent screws you could try one of those shops that sell stuff for model building and/or self built RC car stuff. Don‘t know what they‘re called but it‘s the same shops you can buy silicon based lubes.

    Trying to learn Full ZBLL

I probably exaggerated a bit in my post. In the end, ZBLL needs a lot of drilling anyway so the benefit of learning COLL is probably not as big as it seems. I do still think there's not really a downside though, but personal preference is a good reason I have to admit. Whatever keeps motivation up.

    Trying to learn Full ZBLL

People just want to help. There isn‘t any downside to learning COLL first, like none what so ever. Only benefits. There‘s not a single reason not to go that route, so naturally people will assume you don‘t understand when you say you don‘t want to do it. Nobody is holding you at gunpoint though...

How to improve skill during driving?

Oh my, sorry to hear that! I get where you‘re coming from, and partially I would agree. It‘s bad to let yourself get distracted by using your phone or something like that. And of course I‘m not advocating having an alg sheet open to glance at while driving, but I personally don‘t see a problem...

How to improve skill during driving?

Who doesn‘t think about stuff when driving alone, unless you‘re still learning to drive? Do you also not talk a word to anyone in your car because you have to 100% focus on driving at all times? No offense.. To actually adress the OP question: It depends on what you‘re trying to learn or...

What do you think of Gan?

Can we please just not start this conversation..

If you could have any cube you could want, what would your collection look like?

    1. Probably every 2x2-7x7 ever released including different colors, stickered/stickerless.. Although ofc there's an endless amount of 3x3s all over the world. What I mean is more like speedsolving related puzzles. So budget cubes yes, v cubes yes(historical relevance) but picture cubes or dollar...

What do you think of Gan?

As I stopped cubing in 2016 and only got back into it recently, my opinion is probably biased or misinformed as I have no other recent cubes to compare with. I bought an angstrom 356x and sure, the price is a bit questionable compared to the competing options. But I love it! For me because of...

My quest for Sub 8 Petrus

While you are right in that coll/epll is not really something that will greatly improve his times, I disagree with laying off LL algs. He already stated before that he expects himself to take years to reach his goal. So then, sure, working on blockbuilding exclusively will make him get better...

Generate an algorithm to get from one state to another.

My quest for Sub 8 Petrus

Very interesting, and respect for that commitment! I don‘t know much about petrus, but I would suggest that you definitely learn coll and get used to quick recognizing. Being very good at recognizing coll is the perfect basis for getting into zbll. coll is also not terribly hard or a huge alg...
