Thanks for the confirmation. Quite disappointing, I thought Gan cubes would be of much better quality than this. A small note, the corner cutting has suddenly gotten slightly better overnight. It cuts 45 with slightly less effort now than yesterday. Maybe it just needs breaking in, but it is...
What's a good tension for the Gan X S? I have the stickerless version, mine is Hex nut 1, and GES 2(1 click from the loosest). I just want it to corner cut 45 degrees but it completely locks up when I try. I followed the settings on posts where they complimented the superb corner cutting of the...
just git gud dude.
Real answer, according to WCA statistics, theoretically megaminx and clock would be the easiest event to get world class in. I solve mega in about 2:20, and i rank about 200 in my country, which places me about 170 in my country, and 8000th in the world. For clock i place...
Don't just buy a 3x3! Make your cubing life more interesting by buying some other puzzles like a 5x5, a skewb, a clock, or any other non-WCA puzzle like an ivy cube or a redi cube. Cubes are getting so cheap right now, its worth expanding your collection and make cubing more fun, as its not just...
Move : L
Breaks up OrangeGreen pair. Maybe the next few moves would be solve redblue first then orange green.
L B F' U' F2 U2 R2 // Cross
R' U R U R L' U L2 R' U L' L' U L // ZZF2L
this is the current solution i presume, since Filipe did a U' and Liam did a U2 so I changed the last move to U.
I took a 3 month break, because it was boring to me and i began to develop other interests. I came back because i saw some new speedcubers at my school, which is cool cause now i have people i can relate to on a daily basis :)
Noah Richardson anybody? He taught the 3 edge-in-place f2ls straight away, which was what made the tutorial pretty nice in my opinion. the videos are slow and detailed for new solvers. i believe he did from 2x2 to 5x5. learnt to solve 4x4 from him as well.
I think a new puzzle needs to be invented with the goals of speedsolving in mind to really justify adding it to the list. Sounds ridiculous but it shouldn't be too much to ask considering how advanced and creative puzzle designing has become, and how accessible it is. We could potentially even...
Depends on how you store your cubes, and how much you put in your cube. with lube, especially more viscous ones, less is more. So far my gts with 50k has about 100 solves and its already starting to feel dry and the pieces are looking dry as well.
Imagine a big cube scrambler, that would be revolutionary omg
Im getting excited just thinking about it haha
p.s. i know lego big cube solvers exist, but a real purpose-built one for scrambling...
I bought the ylm when it first came out so im not sure if there were more versions after the first, but with my experience i dont think that is a great megaminx as well... it has a very dry and sandy feel as most yuxin cubes have, and the ridges are noticeably more sharp and pointy than the...
Yes i think it is, moyucubeshop.com isn't though, it is nearly identical to the speedcubestore scam and they're most definitely the same perpetrators. moyustore looks legit and stuff, with the customer service and blogs and the nice pictures, but if you are paranoid then you could just wait for...
I think the qiheng s is an okay megaminx, its not amazing even for its price. it catches alot and i had to loosen it alot to get the speeds of other flagship megaminxes. the mgc is magnetic i think, which is definitely better than a non-magnetic puzzle, but its been a year since release, so no...
do the regular sq1 mod... get a hex nut that screws into the other side of the screw to stop it from loosening. could have just google searched this btw
