    Speed running

Before I got into cubing, I was very into speed running. I started out with the Super Monkey Ball series, and for a while I was ranked #2 in the world for Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, holding several WRs on various levels. Then I got into Metroid games. I briefly held the any% WR for Metroid...

[Unofficial] Jason Baum and Ian Winokur team BLD solves

Anthony- Wow, that was really fast! That's only your second best time... what's your fastest then? Ian and I have wondered for a long time if sub 20 was possible. I actually don't know about 2010 Nationals yet. I'm marching in a drum and bugle corps this summer, so it would depend on what...

[Unofficial] Jason Baum and Ian Winokur team BLD solves

Hey guys, This is my first post here in a long time so in case anybody was wondering, I'm not dead, I just don't cube that much anymore. But Ian Winokur and I got together recently to do some team BLD solving... here are some of our better solves! We also had a 32.58 average of 12...

    Speedsolving.com NHL Fantasy League

Well I can do anytime tonight but it would be tough for me to do it tomorrow. I'm in class till 6:00 and the first game starts at 7:00 (I think). I guess automatic draft would be the best bet for now.

Ok I just signed up. My team is 66 Buries It. I really want to do a live draft, though it might be too late for that.

So with the regular season starting up tomorrow, is this a go? I think we can at least do a 6 person league. I can set up a league tonight if no one else wants to do it. We would also probably have to have our draft tonight.

I'm flattered by you guys :) Of course I'm in on this! Personally I'd rather be an Isles fan than a Sabres fan. Even though you guys have it bad now, you can always brag about your dynasty in the 80s even if it was before your time. 4 Stanley Cups >>>>>>>>>> foot in the crease. edit...

    Surprise Challenge #2

I haven't really cubed for a while, but this sounded like fun! (39.42) 35.23 30.17 36.81 (29.59) = 34.07 I could barely do any triggers besides U and U', so the rest was pretty much all wristing. On the fourth solve, I had an F perm and actually dropped my cube while doing the rotations. On...

    ZBF2L

For me personally, no not really. My left hand is horrible compared to my right hand, so I never really mirrored much of anything. I did use inversions, but to me an inversion feels like a completely different alg.

    ZBF2L

Nope, the most ZB I knew at one point was 100% ZBF2L and a little over 30% ZBLL. I did however spend a lot of time with ZB and at one point could consistently average sub 12 with what I knew. As for the number of cases, there are 305 ZBF2L cases, 306 including the solved case. There are 493...

The 3 People you must thank

Great idea for a thread! Here's my top three: Joe Spadafora - the man who taught me how to solve a cube way back in 2004. Before him I had never even seen anybody solve a Rubik's cube before. He also introduced me to the world of speedcubing. Ian Winokur - organized the first competition I...

Yeah, go ahead and send those to me if you don't mind, I'll definitely add them!

Need Full PLLs for Square-1 Baum Method

I updated the site to include the rest of the parity cases. Sorry that it took so long! Big thanks to Henrik Aagaard and Maarten Smit (trying-to-speedcube...) for generating the algs for me! edit: Actually, just realized that the list isn't actually 100% complete yet. I need an F perm, V...

Need Full PLLs for Square-1 Baum Method

I have had all the algs for a while now, but haven't put them on the site for various reasons (read: extremely lazy). I'm too tired to do it now, but I will try to have them all posted by tomorrow night.

People who went to Point Park Fireworks (Pitt)

LOL, I meant to say Edmund Rothfus. I don't know what I was thinking earlier (I mean your names are kinda similar but still). Sorry about that! :p
