I really find this post interesting... However:
PLL increases time more than OLL; maybe you should work on that first? IIt has less algs too (I see you know most :P)
I've gotta get working on my crosses :)
I think it would be smart to focus on 4-look LL first. Are you still doing the U R U' L' U R' U' L to get the corners in the right spot before excecuting R' U' R U? If so, learn the 4-look LL (2-look OLL, 2-look PLL)
I found this guide very helpful. It's not using the LBL method, but it's good for beginners (like me... :))

So... I just recieved my 5x5 ES (along with 3 3x3, 2x2 and 4x4) and I was playing with it... I tried to test how well it could skip corners... POP!
Oh great...
Took me an hour to put it back together...
I guess it's just my unluckyness... :(
Otherwise I'm very pleased with the rest...
Badmephisto sais that you should learn some algs to make it go faster. Are there some that pop up very commonly that can be made faster?
Anyway, I guess I should practise intuitive before moving on.
Thanks for a speedy reply :)
I'm practising F2L the hard way, and I wondered if I should learn any algs for it? Currently I just do it intuative.
EDIT: Sorry for posting this in the wrong forum.. Realized it too late.
In order to sand my cube, what type of sandpaper (like.. P40, P2500 :p) should I use? Also.. Sanding would create stipes on the cube. Would this prevent it from moving fast? Should I sand away these stripes with fine sandpaper (about P120)?
Thanks ;)
Why not teach it the original way?
F R U R' U' F' from dot -> upper left-hand L -> horizontal line -> cross
If any corners are in the correct location (not neccessarily correct orientation) have it in the bottom right hand corner (if none are oriented, have any corner there) and perform U...
