Did anybody happen to find a speedstacks timer with two Lubix stickers on the front (purple and green) and with the little cover over the reset button peeled off? I believe I left it in the room on Saturday, and I'd like to get it back if possible.
I live pretty far away, but the last one was very well organized, and I may consider going again. It depends on when other competitions are that are near me.
They are different. Some differences I can see are:
-The edge pieces on the black cube have an extra bar in the center that the red ones don't
-the center pieces on the red have a thin extension that the black ones don't have
-The pieces on the black one are rounded at the corners, whereas...
I think Mike was arguing that since organizers can make cutoffs, one could do this for mbld, but i think you are correct because the mbld-specific regulations in article H trump any preceding regulations, right?
There's also no listed cutoff time for megaminx, I would just assume that the cutoff times need to be worked on.
Otherwise, signed up, and excited to be able to finish a megaminx average!
I've done this a lot. The biggest issue is when you get a skip and the whole thing gets messed up. I've only done it with 3 or more people though (and 1 cube per person)
The puzzle I'd suggest is the Master Pyraminx from Meffert's. It's $2 over your price, so I hope that's not an issue. The quality of the puzzle is mediocre, but it is definitely usable.
It combines elements of edge pairing, solving a Jing's pyraminx, and parity, so it's fairly challenging and...
I might get some newly released puzzles if reviews are good. Other than that, I may get a couple non-cubic puzzles to try.
What I need to do is sell off some of the puzzles I don't use and don't care about.
