Great solve BUT

This is really awful situation. Judges just don't care what's happening at all. Just using their phones and NOT USING THE *******ING PAPER COVER!
You know there are rules for a reason. Especially the paper cover rule was added because someone already cheated when that wasn't used. Come on guys seriously!

P.S. I'm not saying that he cheated in his solve by peaking under the blindfold (which is easily doable without anyone noticing because NO PAPERCOVER!!) but I'm saying you and your delegate need to pay more attention to following the regulations correctly in official competitions...

There was an Asian (Thai?) competitor who uploaded a solve without the judge holding paper, his solve wasn't disqualified so if this is then the WCA needs to get some consistency.

Congrats man!

The solve shouldn't be a DNF.Because it was not the competitor fault. It was the judge's fault.I think if they want to blame somebody, the judge or the delegate should be blamed for that.

Nice solve :)

Also this

I can't think of any situation where a solve, blind or not, has been disqualified through a judge's error (correct me if I'm wrong) so this will be fine :)

This is again the same situation as it was discussed before: It's bad for the competitor himself to film his solves (it was the same think for an Asian Square-1 NR I think). There would not be any discussion about this solve if nobody had filmed it.

Anyway, I believe you did not cheat, because you already showed at home that you are able to get such results :)

Nobody said he cheated. But if regulations aren't followed in official competitions then why do we even have regulations... The integrity of the WCA suffers every time something like this happens in official comps (and as seen in this thread this was not the only time this has happened) and something should be done to prevent this from happening again in future.

I agree, both should be blamed

"Both should be blamed", really? It takes every ounce of concentration, along with the comp anxiety/nervousness/etc, to do 3bld fast. I am not going to bother myself or clutter my mind any further with reminding the judge to do anything right before I do a solve.

parsa was referring to the judge and the delegate in terms of blame, I'm only assuming DeeDubb was too and not putting blame on the competitor :p but playing Devil's advocate, I usually always make sure the judge knows what he/she is doing prior to my BLD solves since this has happened to me before.
