FMC is accomplished by an assortment of methods, and specifically not relying on a single method. Some common terms thrown around are block building, inverse scramble, NISS, commutators, and skeletons.
It's how most elite FMCers do FMC, so it could be considered a traditional solution, but I don't know if he did a traditional solution for his solves.


Like iirc Harry Savage's 17 had a domino solution, which I wouldn't consider a traditional solution.
