I don't think any stores still stock them since they stopped production a while ago. I f you want to get one your best bet is just trading or buying off someone else.

  3. I've heard rumors that Cube4You still sells old types, although I don't know how true that is. I may test that out soon... just an interesting tidbit :p

I really like 2x2 and I want to get serious about it so I started to learn cll. I learned a set but then realized that making layers is way slower than a face. I know Ortega and most of my faces have a bar so I wanted to know if I should learn cll or eg-1 and also why do people learn cll first?

  6. CLL is part of EG so you will have to use it anyway plus you can use it as a substitute for EG-2 using anti-CLL so yes it definitely is worth it.

But should I learn eg-1 first?

  8. No bevuase you will find that you will be doing almost the same as building a face so lean CLL first.

Making a layer should not take much like longer than a side, so try to learn to make more efficient layers. People learn CLL first because the algorithms are a little easier the EG-1 and there will be more cases you already know from normal OLL algorithms.

    Simple question:
    Best 2x2 right now?

  12. Personal preference. Most ppl say that the dayan or weipo is the best but I still prefer the 55mm fangshi shishuang

The weipo is probably your best bet I would say. Dayans take a lot of work to get set up especially if it's a new plastic. I don't have the Kungfu or Yuxin white but I would recommend looking at some reviews to see what is best for you.

What's the most popular 2x2x2 speedcubing method? Like how CFOP is to 3x3x3.

It's not really comparable. Probably the most popular one is Ortega, but the fastest people use EG which is 120 algs.

Ortega is basically the way to go, unless you think LBL is better for you, which some people use, and both are only a handful of algs. If you want to get more serious about it, learn CLL, it's 40 algs and can get you at least sub 3 with that alone. EG is what the top people use, along with some other algs or sets

Same. I'm barely sub 4. It's honestly not as easy as some people portray.

  20. I kinda finished learning CLL a few days ago. Recognizing them is a nightmare...
