Not anymore.
I actually thought it’d be more expensive, but that doesn’t mean this cube is worth it.
But, it’s a GTS2M. I’ll leave it for the reader if they want a slightly older cube that’s coated (cause newer options like GTS3M, Gan X, 354, etc), but it’ll get outdated soon

Honestly, cubes have stopped going obsolete in 2016. For instance, the og yuexiao and original valk are both on-par with a lot of modern flagships. The idea of there being a mainstream and flagship culture is unhealthy, honestly, since this kind of onlook has made a lot of legitimately decent cubes become overlooked because of a more hyped release.

The GTS2 has full corner cutting, phenomenal performance with magnets, doesn't pop, doesn't catch, and has a solid feel. I don't know what is so obsolete about it.

The Valk is the ONLY exception imo
Who uses the og yuexiao?
If you’re going to use that argument, then you’re saying that the GTS v1, Senhuan Mars (both versions), Yan 3, and other now mediocre cubes are up to par with the likes of the SM (for example)

And it’s honestly up to you what cubes you prefer. I’m just saying that there is arguably a bigger appeal if newer cubes are coated, mainly because of the wider variety of customizable settings these cube originally come with.

Also if I really want to be picky with your argument I can say that with your logic, a OPD coated OG Guoguan yuexiao would sell the same as the gts2

When the GTS2 came out I didn't think it was that much better than the GTS1...
