[WR] Kaijun Lin - 5x5BLD 3:47.50 single & 4:18.75 mean

Wait, wasn't it just yesterday 5BLD got sub-5?

Also, 4:18 mean... the fastest official single time by someone other than Kaijun is 4:42. What.

1:39 memo, 2:08 execution. That's 0.93 letters a second, and keep in mind he has to keep all of that in his head for over two minutes. Now he is almost a minute faster then Roman, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think thats the largest gap from 1st place to second place in any time based event.

In time it is, but 5BLD is by far the longest event (not including MBLD because it's not ranked by time) so it's not a great way to measure it. Based on percentage, the WR2 for Skewb is further away from 1st place than this.

This is a slight aside, but for curiosity's sake I just calculated the percentage change in 5BLD WR per day that the previous record stood. You could also factor in how many people attempted in that time, but I didn't:
