I have modded my zhanchi a lot because i only have felt 1 cube before (a storebought) and i thought i liked smooth cubes... i was wrong. I miss the old crispy feeling so much. Any ideas. Theres lots of ways of making a cube smooth but no ways of making it crispy...

I would say the best way would be to completely disassemble to the core, thoroughly wash all the pieces with warm, soapy water, clean springs, dry it out and reassemble. Replacing the spring might help as well but nothing as good as simply buying another cube.

Go to KFC and have them fry it! :D
    /sarcasm

I'd just lube it with a crispy lube(CRC makes my cubes like fried chicken).

I trimmed my springs 1.5 turns and cleaned the pieces with goo gone. I'd say it's "snappy" not "crispy".
