Yes, I know, already done on various other sides (speedcubing.com, WCA, cubemania, as pointed out by Shelley in another thread.) However it would be nice to have this on here, as well, then you don't have to go asking what people's PB's are as much either. And can direct or eliminate threads like this more appropriately, or even instead of a thread like this.

I just think it would be nice to just have a list somewhere on the site, where people can update their own times themselves quite easily, and it will require little/no attention by moderators. I personally don't check other sites like speedcubing.com very often, and would like to see averages of 12 and other fun records like on speedcubing.com, something not offered by Cubemania or the WCA site, or other databases. It would also help deter more bogus entries, as only users can post times, and can immediately edit them (so, no accidental 0.08s 3x3 entries will occur, like have happened on cubemania, or no duplicates/false entries like can happen on speedcubing.com)

Stachuk, the point of this would be so that people don't have to post in a thread like that and have PJK keep making updates. One simple script to do it all. PS, I linked to that thread, meaning that it could be deprecated.

He knows there is a thread on this. He is suggesting an actual site feature.

I'm not all that familiar with VBulletin... but I believe extra fields for personal best averages could be added to the user profiles. Then, options could be added to the Member List to display and sort users based on those entries. Depending on Vbulletins options, it might require some coding.

I am still in favour of a table that we can put in our profiles where we can put all our best times.

I agree with this one. I used to have my best times/averages in my sig before the one line limit was imposed (and I know a lot of other people did too). Maybe add a field in your profile where you can list your best times for people to see when they click on your name.

Why would you start a new thread so an older one that has tons of information can be deprecated?

If this is indeed about "a simple script", please give that script to PJK!

If people want their best times in their signatures, is that really not possible right now? I will try it myself right now

Not create a new thread, just a new section of the site or feature that allows people to post and modify their own best times.

You can post best times in your sig, but that is not a very organized implementation, and I doubt everyone would do this.

I also can't say creating this would be simple, so perhaps I take that back. Unless pjk says it is simple ;)

Test with a signature that is supposed to have "generic" times in it
It doesn't show the signature anymore, but it was there and worked fine. It looked something like this:

222: 1.23/2.34, 333: 12.34/23.45, 444: 1:23.45/2:34.56, 555: 2:34.56/3:45.67, 666: 5:59.99/6:00.00, 777: 9:59.99/10:00.00

Good idea. I would like people to add events, but personally wouldn't like to see lucky/unlucky solves in their.

222: 1.23/2.34 || 333: 12.34/23.45 || 444: 1:23.45/2:34.56 || 555: 2:34.56/3:45.67 || 666: 5:59.99/6:00.00 || 777: 9:59.99/10:00.00
