Does anyone happen to remember the song used for the intro to the CubeCast Podcast (Andrew Kang and Kirjava) back in the day? It was some video game song and I recently remembered about
Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that almost every single youtube cubing video has crappy EDM playing the whole time, be it a solve or a tutorial or even background music. And if the video doesn't have music playing during the video itself, you better believe there'll be a 10 second intro with...
I wouldn't worry about really going out of your way to improve something drastically until you're at 50ish seconds with beginners method. You'll get faster just from solving over and over and over again (which I recommend at first) just from being able to turn faster and (more importantly)...
Hey guys, I just received a weilong and an aolong for Christmas from a friend. The Weilong is EXTREMELY fast and moves with almost no effort. However, the aolong was super tight and my hands would get tired after cubing on it. I loosened it and lubed it but its still not as fast as the Weilong...

Coming back from a year hiatus to post this
(3,-1) / (-2,-5) / (3,-4) / (3,-3) / (3,6) / (3,5) / (-5,-3) / (6,6) / (-3,-1) / (1,3) / (0,-3) / (-3,-3) / (-3,-3) / (6,3)
Solve:
Put it back to cube shape with the small bar on the left. (4,-3) / (-4,-1) / Adjust layers
Goals
3x3: Sub 12 average (but will settle for sub 13) with no pops. 10.xx single
2x2: Sub 6 average....
4x4: Sub 1 Avg
Megaminx: Sub 2 avg but will prob be 2:0x
Blind: Sub 2, but realistically sub 2:30 at least
Skewb: Sub 30, I never practice this.
Edit: NOOOOOOOO, no joke I...
I haven't BLD'd in 3 years and I decide to try it today to practice for a competition Saturday.
I went terrible. I had to re-learn my positions and I was averaging 2:30 with lots of DNFs. I use to be 1:40's! My fault for procrastinating,

Yeah, I came to that conclusion after watching a Weilong review.
So what are the new cubes that are up there with the Dayans? So far I know of the Fangshi and Weilong. Am I missing something else?
I stopped cubing for a while and I'm getting back into it now.
I know everyone says there's no real answer, but come on, for reals, what's the best 3x3 right now? When I stopped, it was the Zhanchi, but now there's a tie (I think) between Weilong and something else. Also, is Weilong V1 better...
sooooo.....did you ever get that gu hong? I mailed it a long time ago, and I haven't heard anything. If not, I'm really sorry. It was a free service, so at least you didn't lose anything.
I leave the two corners switched and solve them at the very end of everything, using the 4x4 PLL parity alg, then a T-perm
I now use Orienting Corners then permuting them with set-up moves and A-Perms. Sometimes, I get a case where I can't set up to an A-Perm (ex. UBR -> ULF -> DRF). I have to...
Y PERM IS NOT CENTER SAFE FOR BIG CUBES!!!1
I just learned this now, after tons of 4 BLD dnf's, where I just didn't understand what I was doing wrong because I memorized everything. I do my corners before my centers, and after orienting them, I use y-perms along with j perms to solve them...
