How so? Caps give easier access to the inside of the piece, don't they? They also let you have the pieces open without completely disassembling the cube.
The shades are always strictly 'okay' or 'good' rather than exactly what I want, though that's my only functional reason.
For less-than-functional reasons, I just don't like the construction. Split-piece assembly always just seems to be a compromise to accommodate stickerless, it doesn't feel...
The only PLL I occasionally forget is my F-perm, not because it's an F-perm but because it's way too similar to my Y-perm and N-perms.
For OLL, it's definitely OLL 56 on the Wiki. It's not that I simply forget how to do it, it's that I slip up 1 or 2 moves and do OLL 16 instead.
Holy ****, the Gan partnership actually produced something good under the Rubik's brand...
Well, at least it looks good so far. It'll be interesting to see if Rubik's actually starts making good cubes.
Did you clean it and lubricate it? If so, what lubricants did you use?
Aside from that, breaking it in is the best course, since cubes are always not quite what they should be out of the box.
Also, the purple is actually the loosest spring for the Air. In terms of tension, this is the order...
You know how Saitama's thing isn't necessarily that he's just strong, it's that no matter how hard he punches he can always make the next punch harder?
This is like I'm watching an anime.
I don't think so, for two reasons on top of just the fact he's never mentioned it:
-There isn't really a lot a coach could do, aside from maybe keep him on a schedule if he's bad with that (I don't think he is). Even if he weren't on top, it's just not the sort of sport where you can learn a lot...
Yes, DNM-37 is extremely similar to Maru but lasts much longer.
All of these lubes make the cube faster, in the order DNM-37 > One > Silk.
And of the three, One lasts the longest.
-Silk makes the cube smoother, quieter, and a bit 'softer' feeling how I'd describe it. It lasts a matter of weeks, sometimes more than a month.
-One makes the cube smoother and a bit slick (therefore faster), but retains the rigid feeling of the plastic. It works primarily by depositing Teflon...
And I told you the differences I could.
I use DNM-37, Lubicle Silk, and Lubicle One together -None of them is best, just different. I'm sure it's the same way with the Cosmic lubes.
Not sure about Cosmic, but as for the Cubicle stuff...
DNM-37 is a water-based lubricant that essentially one-ups Maru. Has pretty much the same effect (except it seems to make the cube a little smoother too), but it lasts quite a lot longer, and it doesn't leave that gunk behind.
Lubicle 1...
Safe? Yeah, sure, it isn't caustic or anything, but I wouldn't put it in my cubes.
That lubricant is mostly just cooking oil, which is a fat. The shampoo is basically just being used as a surfactant to make the water runnier and spread more thoroughly. The mouthwash is being used to color it, I...
They know full well what people think, it's just not economical to keep switching around plastics. Think of it like stickerless shades, except even more work to change -Everyone has a preference, and if you try to accommodate that you either fall short because you can't make all the options or...
Generally yes, though sometimes I need to do some microadjustments. Most of the variation I imagine comes from what I let pass for 'flush'.
The Rubik's tiles aren't replaceable, though. Actually, they switched to tiles so that it would be impossible to peel the stickers off, so they predictably...
Because the manufacturers don't change their plastics like that. The boron project is supposed to give people choice where previously there was none, and reasonably would not be from the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, the weight isn't something they can solve. Neodymium magnets are pretty much...
I think I've seen a couple of those, this one is quite recent.
Yeah, I'd say it's quick and easy. The nut contains the spring, so there's surprisingly little fiddling and you're only swapping one part (per side, of course). As for the second part, if you mean set them all to equivalent heights...
Core: Lubicle Standard or Speedy, sometimes a heavier silicone.
Pieces: Lubicle Silk, One, and DNM-37. I used to use Speedy, but grew a rather extreme preference for a slick feeling, so even Speedy was a bit too heavy. Using all three does sound like a bit of a "just throw everything in"...
