Got a LL skip today; L U' L' to insert the 4th pair, and U2 for the AUF. Solve was 8.xx, I think 8.72 or so.
So I can now say with absolute certainty that I've gotten a LL skip! (And a fast one, at that)
I'm out of practice!
-Derust in 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, and OH by actually doing and finishing more averages of 100
-Record a decent average and make a video
-Break at least one PB
I got a ghost cube! But I forgot to take the stickers with me, and my friend (who got me the cube)'s mother threw the stickers away without knowing, so we dug through their trash bin until we found them.
Good thing they put the stickers in a little bag...
I also got this mug!
And my reaction...

I started with yellow cross only when I started cubing, which makes scrambles like this really funny to me
(Got an 11.94)
Of course cubes get old! After their plastic is worn, their corners stop cutting, and lube just makes them slip out of your hands, they spend the rest of their poor cube lives in the Feliks Memorial Home for Cubing Wasters of Life and Limb. The only cubes that have been known to actually die...
I agree, brighter colors help a lot with lookahead. But I also actually prefer using normal red.
The color scheme I use contains colors that I can distinguish between very well: Fluorescent Blue/Green/Orange/Yellow, and just normal White and Red. Red is kept dark because then I can...
Finally finished an average

I did a couple hundred solves yesterday and got an 8.10 single; super easy F2L, and the last layer was just
(R U R' U') (M' U R U') r', with no AUF. My 4th fastest single (behind 3 Sub-8's)! It was right before a 10.27, too; too bad I choked the Ao5
It's so surreal how short these solves are now... watching old WR's, you at least saw them turn fast and just get lucky, but solves like this one are just so lucky and short, it looks fake; staged.
Congrats for such an unbelievable solve for the current world record!
Firstly, if you're learning CFOP, you should absolutely learn full OLL and PLL. It's very helpful and will make your solves faster and more consistent in the long run.
Second, almost everyone nowadays recommends that you learn 4LLL and then 2LLL; but honestly, it's up to you. You could just...
Considering that Feliks is still quite active and is still smashing records of his own, I'd say that Max is more accurately another Feliks. Both are improving at ridiculous rates!
This is a little off-topic, but your post reminded me of my 8-year old nephew and 6-year old niece, who both like my shapeshifting windmill 3x3 out of all my puzzles (especially when they make it look like a windmill).
