So I got the angstrom aosu wrm. I like the settings and all but 1 problem I have is, each session it feels almost perfect at first but after a while, it becomes uncontrollably fast. It feels like it gets looser and the layers turn much to quickly. I'm not sure if I should add some additional...
Thank you for all the answers! As said, price doesn't really matter as long as the puzzle is overall the better choice. Except maybe for 6x6 and 7x7 since apparently the mgc cubes are prefered by some people over the more pricey ones, and I don't seriously practice those events anyway. I like...
I'm looking to update some puzzles, 2x2 and 4x4-7x7. For 6x6-7x7 I think I'll go for the mgcs and the valk for 2x2. But I don't know what do go for for 4x4 and 5x5. Is the WRM still a top 4x4? Andwhat about 5x5?
Price doesn't matter btw
I like the idea of the random mode, but it seems like when using it, some cases tend to show up significally less often than others. That is of course possible with true randomness. Is there a way to stay in recap mode, with only the order changing? Or better yet, I'd like it to have a sort of...
Thx, will look into those.
I should have noted that I‘d like to have as much consistency in my 2x2-howevermany layers. Meaning I‘d prefer cubic, stickerless, similar shades as much as possible(Though I wouldn‘t buy a terrible cube just because the shades are more similar to the rest) and the...
Would it be a bad idea to learn 3-style without having experience with OP/M2?
I tried to learn BLD with OP/M2 before and got tired of it because the constant setup into Y perm just felt boring and slow
Speaking of fingertricks and to come back to zbll once more, I would recommend that once you know coll, you could try to learn a little bit of 2GLL. Besides it being a subset of zbll, the algs are mostly really easy. Mainly T, U or L.
Main reason for now is fingertricks, especially left hand...
In case your hardware shop doesn‘t have equivalent screws you could try one of those shops that sell stuff for model building and/or self built RC car stuff. Don‘t know what they‘re called but it‘s the same shops you can buy silicon based lubes.
I probably exaggerated a bit in my post. In the end, ZBLL needs a lot of drilling anyway so the benefit of learning COLL is probably not as big as it seems. I do still think there's not really a downside though, but personal preference is a good reason I have to admit. Whatever keeps motivation up.
People just want to help. There isn‘t any downside to learning COLL first, like none what so ever. Only benefits.
There‘s not a single reason not to go that route, so naturally people will assume you don‘t understand when you say you don‘t want to do it. Nobody is holding you at gunpoint though...
Oh my, sorry to hear that!
I get where you‘re coming from, and partially I would agree. It‘s bad to let yourself get distracted by using your phone or something like that. And of course I‘m not advocating having an alg sheet open to glance at while driving, but I personally don‘t see a problem...
Who doesn‘t think about stuff when driving alone, unless you‘re still learning to drive? Do you also not talk a word to anyone in your car because you have to 100% focus on driving at all times? No offense..
To actually adress the OP question:
It depends on what you‘re trying to learn or...
1. Probably every 2x2-7x7 ever released including different colors, stickered/stickerless..
Although ofc there's an endless amount of 3x3s all over the world. What I mean is more like speedsolving related puzzles. So budget cubes yes, v cubes yes(historical relevance) but picture cubes or dollar...
As I stopped cubing in 2016 and only got back into it recently, my opinion is probably biased or misinformed as I have no other recent cubes to compare with. I bought an angstrom 356x and sure, the price is a bit questionable compared to the competing options. But I love it! For me because of...
While you are right in that coll/epll is not really something that will greatly improve his times, I disagree with laying off LL algs. He already stated before that he expects himself to take years to reach his goal. So then, sure, working on blockbuilding exclusively will make him get better...
