No video yet. Awesome job Feliks!

Oops, I posted this in the WR/CR/NR area. Thought it would be there and didn't see it. Awesome job! A sub 6 single is always accompanied by large cheering, and this is a sub 6 average! We now have an official average better than Erik Akkersdijk's 7.08 single! I wonder how many were full step.

• generally time measurements are taken from the end of the previous step to the end of the current step

Total is the total solve - timed from timer start to timer stop

F2L is the first two layers (including cross) - timed from timer start to end of 4th pair
LL is the last layer - timed from end of 4th pair to timer stop

Cross+1 is the cross and first pair (and/or Xcross) - timed from timer start to end of 1st pair
F2L-1 is the cross and first three pairs - timed from timer start to end of 3rd pair
OLS is the last slot (4th pair) and orientation of the last layer - timed from end of 3rd pair to end of OLL
PLL is the permutation of last layer - timed from the frame before the first move to the frame after the last move (does not include any pre- or post-AUF/rotations)

where applicable:
• ZBLL / OLLCP / EPLL / ELL stats replace PLL
• OLS stats include ZBLL / OLLCP / COLL (as this is when orientation is solved)

Should've done the lefty OLL on the 2nd solve and get a U perm instead of N perm, would've been a little faster?

But what do i know i avg 11 lul

Wouldn't change much, only 0.03s faster average.

Amazing achievement though, last solve was such a clutch. The moment he was calculating the average was so intense I almost sh*t myself.. even though I already knew it's a WR :D

It seems that with this record he has reached Max's TPS. So now it is only Zemdegs' slightly more efficient solutions that gives him the advantage.

Feliks has an advantage of knowing several hundreds more algs and also being overally faster.:) You can't really compare their TPS basing on only 5 solves

By looking at recent reconstructions by both of them, it seems that those hundreds of algorithms result in roughly 2-3 less turns per solve, about a 3-5% less. And if you compare their recent average of averages, Zemdegs is around a 3% faster at the moment. I think their TPS are quite equal right now.

18.75 peak TPS, on a T perm. How is that even humanly possible?!
Re-checked this after your post and there was a miss-count. It's *only* 17.50 TPS on the Tperm.

Also of note, except for PLL (and ZBLL where applicable) the TPS for each step is measured from the end of the step before. For PLL I measure from the frame before the 1st turn to the frame after the last turn (no auf) so it's a measure of "burst" TPS.

I think it is wrong though, if you look at the first solve, you will see it was 17.5 TPS (still crazy). The "Best from each field" is calculating the TPS with the time of one permutation and the moves of another one, which doesn't make much sense.

@Brest is this intended to be like this?

EDIT: way too late!

Only after Brest mentioned frames did I notice that Zemdegs has been recording and uploading his solves at 60 fps... It makes it amazing to watch at x0.25 speed.

Wut? Why did he do F R U' R' F on the fourth solve and then zbll? Why not just the OLL and then pll instead?
