Does anyone else find cubing to be depressing?

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I'll think of happy thoughts next time I cube, and try to be 'pumped' for it. :o

Does anyone else find cubing to be depressing?

That helps a little bit. But I still feel like I'm being incredibly unproductive and wasting my life. Then again, I do sit and practically do nothing for 2-3 hours a day at school. I should bring a workbook to school or something...

Does anyone else find cubing to be depressing?

I love speedcubing, but whenever I try to sit down and practice it, I get depressed. I feel like I'm slowly wasting away in my room. Then I get addicted to solving it over and over and I can't stop. I have to force myself to stop.

What would you think about a cubing video game?

At first I was surprised how much praise this idea was getting. Yeah, tbh this game sounds awful. If I wanted to play an RPG, I'd play Pokemon or something. This game doesn't even have anything to do with solving cubes. This:

    Cubing in school?

This seems like something you could easily prove wrong to anybody. Surely she didn't believe that for long?

It was probably the only time I've ever done anything intuitive with a cube, other than F2L.

Lower move count? I must have been doing it wrong, I guess. It took my like 50 moves and tons of mistakes to get the first block.

What's the point of Roux if you're already good with Fridrich? Seems like Fridrich is better, anyway. I tried this tutorial, but it seemed like most of the moves were way to tedious and intuitive.

    Non-Cubers say the darndest things!

In one of my classes, I sit next to this kid who's well known to be considered 'brainy'. He's always in the highest math classes, etc... Anyway, I had my Rubik's cube with me in my backpack and I asked him one day if he could solve it: "Yeah", he replied with a slight undertone of uncertainty...

    How to practice

What method do you use? Do you already know all of Fridrich, for example?
