Modified Alpha-V was also quite popular. It was released as Haiyan Memory (as a tribute to Haiyan Zhuang, legendary former 3BLD WR holder). I always preferred the F2 though. Next relevant cubes were Guhong, Zhanchi and Moyu Weilong in 2013 ;)

Method neutrality is a must on top level. If you check out reconstruction of Tymon solves you will quickly realize that it cannot be simply desribed as CFOP. He uses a fine mix of ZB/CFOP/CFCE/FreeFOP. Obviously during inspection he's not like "hmn nice scramble I will use ZB for this one".

Well, if that's such an issue for you, then you should consider stopping watching those videos. Just be happy that cubing community is growing. Youtubers really play big part in making our hobby more popular ;)

Pickup time is objectively faster with keyboard. If you're still learning F2L, I'd say it doesn't make much sense to buy a timer. You could get it before your first competition to practice a little
