Great post Thom. When I got into cubing it was all about the (light crispy) A5 vs. the (smooth) F2. But trying those cubes now it's amazing how bad they are compared to modern ones.
I currently have a DaYan TengYun M as my main, I love it's smooth feel. But I'm struggling with the colours, the yellow and green are too similar (I need the green to be more vivid), I prefer the colours of the Monster Go or the RS3M (But they're too clicky). Can anyone recommend any other...
I just got back into the 3x3x2, which I love, but I can't for the life of me find the method I used to use. It's layer-by-layer but for the last 1st-layer corner, there was 6 ways of inserting it (two of which are the standard 5-mover, left and right handed) which would solve the last layer...

I tried CLL in a week before, and thought it was going really easily, until I realised the recognition wasn't sticking at all. After weeks I'm still struggling.
Good luck :)

One of the best things I found about japanese is the Japanese Language Proficiency Tests (JLPT), which is an official grading system for foreign learners, as it provides a clear guide to what is the most important things to know (like the most popular words and phrases), so JLPT 5 starts with...
My suggestion is publish a (short) paper on the concept... find anyone who's already published a paper on the cube (maybe start with the people involved in the god-alg project) and see if they'd co-author it with you. Then if you want to make any money off it, self publish the book (digitally)...
