Not a great one, because "The vast majority" is not all. You can still be trying to deceive someone into buying a product thinking it's something else, even if most people are not looking for that product.

3 isn't going to happen. Head to head takes too long, there's a whole host of issues with keeping head to head fair, and, did I mention this, it takes to long. We added Teh MoYu Redi cube challenge after the schedule was done, so we have to cram that in there, plus I would love to add a couple...

Hopefully you're talking about corners. The easy fix to this is to put a little paper around the bit that sticks into the corner, so it doesn't slip out.
If it's "centers" then the advice is a little less appealing. All you can do is tighten the cube up a bit, and work on your turning style so...
You need to break into a new cycle when your buffer piece is solved (unless it's the last piece of course). Shoot to any unsolved piece, and continue as normal. When you get back to the piece you shot to, you'll solve the buffer piece again. You then either have to shoot to another solved piece...
I usually have better times at comps, but they few times I've totally failed is when I get super invested. Remember that there will always be more comps, more opportunities, and that it really doesn't matter. Ultimately, winning doesn't matter. Doing well doesn't matter. If you do, great! But...
