  • I would say in general yes, but not to the point that it actually causes you to be slower or makes your solve awkward. This is especially true for PLL because many of those algs are really good from some form of Right Split Grip. That being said, many can start in home grip and then transition later to split, this will allow you to start your algs out without regrips quickly. In general, if it is a relative 2 gen case, then you can probably do it from home grip. I would say I am in home grip 95% of the time.
