Actually, I had no choice. I wasn't allowed to look over at his timer or even at the screen to see what times he got.

It amazes me to see stuff like this in a sub-9 single. I'm really starting to question my focus on movecount...lol...Michał Pleskowicz - 1st place World Championship 2011 - 8.65 average of 5
1st solve - 8.94...

What rule is that, and why does it exist?Actually, I had no choice. I wasn't allowed to look over at his timer or even at the screen to see what times he got.

He failed like 1 pair each solve (in one solve there were like 7 F2L pair insertions), bad cross in some, bad OLL in most, bad PLL in two of them (or so it seems).
Argh, 1:33 left to type, so I'll be quick.
He felt a lot of pressure because he was told not to watch Michal, and Michal was getting a lot more applause. So Faz assumed Michal was getting extremely fast solves, and had no way of knowing. Pressure causes mistakes, and the pressure just got worse and worse. There was already a lot of pressure on him, because he was the favourite, still getting sub 10 average with that pressure is pretty crazy.
Congratulations also to Rowe, great result! Does anyone have these solves on video? And not just Rowes' solves, but all of the other final 12?
Must have been KILLER for Faz to not know the times after those crazy reactions! Some reactions made it sound like a WR was broken. I would have wanted to look over SOO bad. Those reactions, I think, were enough to throw ANYBODY off their game. Watching this live stream was so crazy, it was worth staying up til 6am.
