[Unofficial] 9.89 3x3 single

Am I the only one that scrambles with cross on bottom lol...and wasn't that cross on bottom solve? I thought you like cross on top :P
Anyhow nice sub 10 :)
Oh and 5 move x cross is a lol

I usually do cross on top, but if it's a nice cross, or an xcross, I will do it on bottom. Either way my first pair( in this case second) lookahead is horrible.

Do you know and use full COLL? Because that was just the standard OLL... I guess if you use full COLL for H then it's and EPLL skip :P
I'll give reconstructing a go.

Edit: Read video's description on Yotube. Disregard my question.

B' D2 B2 F' D' F' L F L B' L' U2 R' D2 F' R2 U' R2

X-cross: z2 y B2 u' F' R' F'
2nd pair: y' U L U' L' U2 R' U' R
3rd pair: L U2 L2 U' L
4th pair: U2 y' L' U L
COLL: R U2 R' U' R U R' U' R U' R' U

34 moves.
34/9.89 = 3.44 tps.

No offense, but with the scramble, that F2L's pretty crap :P
I'm right handed, and I'd solve it very differently, and a fair bit more ergonomically. Are you left handed? Most solutions by right handed people would spam RU a lot more, and also choose better pairs :P
If you're left handed, then why not mirror the COLL/OLL?

I also scramble with cross on bottom, rather than rotating after finishing the previous solve AND after scrambling. It just seems unnecessary to me. Why does it matter what color you scramble on?

His first "real" pair is inefficient, but after that I don't see anything wrong with what he did. Also, after solving the first pair the way he did, it would be stupid to do a y2 just to finish off F2L with RU moves as opposed to LU.
Btw, right now, your solution is wrong. One of your Us should be U'.

Yeah I know all of the H case. I was born left handed, but the christian school I went to forced me to write right handed, but my left hand is still mainly dominant, I'm just too lazy to learn lefty algs. I consider myself ambidextrous. Thanks for the reconstruction though. The f2l was crap :(
