Smile petrus vs. roux or stay were i'm at

hey just wondering if it would be a good idea to learn petrus or roux for fun, to expand my cube knowledge, and to learn more about other methods besides fridrich and there intuitiveness seeings as how there is not much intuitive in fridrich. or do I stay with fridrich and be bored (not that the cube is boring as a matter of fact it has saved me from hours of boredom and still does today probolly won't ever be bored of it). and which one should I learn.

anyone and everyone who reads this is welcomed and encouraged to post on this thread =)

note: this is just for fun and expanding my cube knowledge. maybe it will even improve my fridrich times and if I really like the other methods maybe I will switch to them (not liking how many algs. fridrich has)

Of course. I see no reason to restrict yourself if you want to branch out. I say try and learn whatever interests you. Any sort of practice will help you with your main method (even doing RUR'U' 1,000 times in a row). But specifically, blockbuilding of petrus or roux can really come in handy. Practice anything that's fun, that's the point. If anything gets boring just move on to something new.

yes but which one is funner to learn. maybe i'll look into petrus more and actually look at roux (i only have glanced at it once or twice) thanks ellis but still which is funner also I prefer L',U',L,U because the finger tricks are good on it

You must be left handed. I dunno, just for learning they can both be fun. I probably prefer roux myself just because I like M moves. I don't really practice either of them though, so my opinion here probably isn't worth very much.

Started learning Roux some month ago and it's an awesome method
Only downside is to learn the CMLL algs.

I would also suggest looking at ortega. It is a pretty fun method, and it feels like it is pretty intuitive, making it fun.
Actually there are about 33 algorithms or something to learn, 8 of which are mirrors.
I just started learning it a few dyas ago, but it is pretty fun to do.
And a lot of the algs. are short, making them easy to memorise.

What about ZZ? That's technically a block building method.

I would say that ZZ is probably too advanced.

It's definitely not more advanced that Roux imo
