be careful about stopping the timer with your fists though, that's a +2 in competition.

As far as I know, there was a new regulation that said that you can now stop the timer with your palm.

EDIT: Yup, you can stop with palm.
A6c) The timer must be stopped using both hands, with both hands flat and palms down. Penalty: 2 seconds.
