Mefferts is best, but expensive. I have a QJ that i bought from cube depot for 8 or 9 dollars i think. I have a tiled one, and the tiles are pretty thick, so maybe go with a stickered one. It has a ball mechanism and turns really nice. Id reccomend it if you dont want to pay a lot.

Should I get the Guhong v2 or Zhanchi?
Is the Zhanchi clicky? If so is it annoying?
My Rubik's brand locks up way to much.

Both have similar performance with minimal locks. Zhanchi has a slightly clicky feel. GuHong has a moe boxy smooth feel.

They're both amazing cubes. While the Zhanchi is clickier (though I don't even notice it), it is not at all annoying. Both the Zhanchi and Guhong V2 are extremely smooth and fast cubes.

If you have the money, you should try out both. It's more of a personal preference, as one cube isn't really better than the other.

Personally, though, I prefer the Zhanchi.

I have a Zhanchi and it's great. It does click a bit it's not annoying at all. I have recently ordered a v2 Guhong, due anyday now. I'll let you know which I prefer! I think all of these things come down to personal preference though. Either cube you get i'm sure you'll be happy with it. I do remember when I first got my Zhanchi out of the box having previously only used a Rubiks branded I thought it felt so flimsey and horrible. However that passed after about an hour when I was used to it.

I don't have one but if you watch a bunch of tutorials on it, you should see how "gud" it is.

Yea, the review by Thrawst is pretty "gud"

How open are people to buying from a new cube store? And how difficult is it to get one started?
