Do you think that over time, one could sub 10?
Cause 5BLD got sub 10 EXTREMELY fast and it worries me that I keep having these plateaus and maybe ill never be sub 10.
Am i worrying too much? What do you guys think?
I really think it is possible.

I have been cubing for 9 months and I average ~18-19 sec. But I am practising and hope to sometimes get sub-10.

If you want to avoid all non-EPLLs then OLLCP (or ZBLS+COLL) is the way to go. If you want to avoid only A perms and E perms, you could look into EP control, but that's very uncommon in CFOP. The best way to avoid bad PLLs is to practice them so they're not bad anymore.

I'm trying to be sub 10 within a year of cubing, just like 5BLD, but with CFOP. I'll post it on the Accomplishment Thread, if I get sub 10 by then (nearly sub 15 after half a year). Deadline: in 6 months (start of September 2012)
    Who thinks, this is possible?
Good luck. You are going to have to progress at about 1 second a month. Actually if you just focus on that, I think you could do it. 15 to 10 is really hard though but good luck. With that in mind, maybe I will try to get down to 10 seconds... a 1 second difference is a lot though. I mean the first month you could just work on TPS and sub steps. Then second month just solve, then third month lookahead and optimizing algorithms, then fourth month solves, then fifth month TPS and lookahead. You could even just do it on a weekly basis. I don't know because it seems to be all good in theory but actually being able to do it will be hard.

IMO you should do it on a daily basis and have as much variety as possible- not monthly, but that's just my opinion.

You saw, I used to experiment with lots of different methods, switch to different methods for a couple of weeks...
    (a^b)^c = a^(b c) e^(2 i pi c floor(1/2-(Im(b log(a)))/(2 pi)))
I've been cubing for only just over 2 years and I feel old already

Of course anyone could if they believe they could. I honestly don't mind much about my improvement, I just let it go. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who hasn't plateaued yet.

The things I see that I did that others who are striving to improve quickly don't are stuff like exploring a wide range of stuff. For example I switched back to CFOP for a few weeks back when I was an annoying little noob, then used Roux for a while, switched to Waterman, used it for a while then used 'Waterman' and eventually back to Roux. For a while I also used 'Waterman' alongside Waterman and Petrus too.

So yeah IMO exploring new stuff really helps.[/QUOTE]

Also, I think you worry too much. Thats what YOU told ME a while ago and it was, and is true for me too

How is Waterman different from "Waterman"?

Weren't you there when I was experimenting with improvements for Waterman and started using this pseudo Waterman thingy and called it Waterman cuz I was a noob?
    That's 'Waterman'.
