What do I need to work on the most and how should I approach working on it? I've been practicing alot and done hundreds of solves but it's very dissapointing because I'm not improving. Thanks in advance.
I would say your edge pairing mostly. And your 3x3 stage can always be quicker. Centers are pretty good. I think my centers are between 15-20 usually, but I'm usually done with reduction somewhere between 40-50 sec.

In petrus is it faster to do the last layer like the method says (positioning and orienting corners then edges) or is it just faster to stick with the normal OLL then PLL

Because the edges are already oriented and all EPLLs are fast, it's probably faster to learn COLL and then do an EPLL than OLL PLL.

Yes. You are reflecting algs. So when you reflect LR you are reflecting alg about the M slice.
    R becomes L'
    U becomes U'
    F becomes F'

When you reflect UD you reflect about the E slice. Think about it as a mirror image to the alg. Even try looking in a mirror while exec an alg to see what it is
    (a^b)^c = a^(b c) e^(2 i pi c floor(1/2-(Im(b log(a)))/(2 pi)))

I'd say this is just personal preference. Both are 2-look systems, and both can be really fast. Yes, guaranteed EPLL is nice, but you can't deny that corner OLLs are lightning fast. So @awbridgers, do whichever of these you feel like.

That's not a mirror. R U R' U' is mirrored L' U' L U. Do with your left hand what your right hand did and vice versa.

Some sites offer pre-lubed Guhongs - you should check whether it says so there, if it doesn't say it's lubed, try lubing it yourself. Also, some new Guhongs come with purple instead of orange, this is because colour scheme copyright infringement - the forum is here http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/sh...ht-Infringment.

I guess i can remove the purple and put orange in but that sounds like alot of work, plus i dont want to ruin my new cube. Whats the best way to go about doing that?
