When you look ahead and you were tracking a corner and an edge, but then as you are about to insert what you had been following you see a quicker F2L pair (lets say you notice a completed one), what do you do?
Do you continue and insert it while breaking this other perfect F2L pair in the process or change tasks and finish the other one which is easier?

    also is that BOCA safe?

I bought a tiled qj 4x4 from cube depot. Many of you know this is the one thats really big and has thick tiles..Really big tiles..Anyway, ever since i had it (like a year) it really hasnt been turning well. It locks up a lot and doesnt really cut corners well. And when i turn it, its really loud and makes what sounds like a grinding sound. And it looks like some of the pieces are scratched up inside. Does anyone know if i can lube it or something to do to make it better? Or are these cubes just generally not good? Also, if u have this cube, what is your response about it?

I have the 5x5x5 one which sounds exactly like what you are describing. I lubed it up and it made no difference whatsoever.
    These are generally bad cubes.

its ok, and my friends turned a lot better with maru lube. if u want better 4x4 get a sheng shou v3 or a dayan mf8 4x4. u can get the ssv3 for pretty cheap from thecubicle.us or hknowstore.com

How many algs would be needed to permute edges instead of corners (COLL) when having one of the "all edges oriented" cases.
I mean that after one of those cases you will have A-perms,E-perm (H-perm?)

    Tighten it a lot
Solve with feet see if you like it
    When you hate it re-tension

I have some questions about roux, I'm giving it a go atm and it's okay but I completely blag L6E. I can see it could be really fast for me.

First, is CMLL vastly superior to COLL? what's the movecount?

Second, could someone explain the last steps, in an intuitive way? I understand the last step of permuting the M slice, but how do i go about orienting edges without algs, and permute L and R - i feel as though i sometimes mess up EO when doing this step, or maybe i'm just completely messing up
Is it a J-perm? Are we on PLL?

    Some help:
Orientation: M'UM' flips UL,UR,UF,DF. Using this logic logically get any 4 edges flipped.

Now using M2, U2, etc get UL, UR, UF, DF flipped. Now flip em.

ULUR: find the LR edges needed. Put them opposite each other onthe whole cube e.g. UF DB or UB DF in fact those are your only options.
Do M'U2M'. Dump the pair of edges made in D layer. AUF. Insert.

Last bit just watch the video.

PS you use Roux already or switching? If so at UKO I can show you some cool stuff..

Thankyou , no I use ZZ actually but I'm just trying to learn to see how I am and also to teach it to people at the Leicester University Society. Would be silly not to learn a clearly good method especially cause i'm pretty new to cubing, like 6 months so I guess I should learn now while i'm not overly attached to another method. Yeah that would be cool, very much looking forward to seeing you cube too btw
