how do i make my mf8+dayan 4x4 faster?the outerlayer turns really slow![]()
Inf3rno is correct unless the event you're comeptong in uses a mean of three instead of an average of five. I believe one DNF in a MO3 cause the mean to be a DNF. That's big cubes though. I don't think it applies to anything else atm.
Edit: +2's make no difference other than adding two seconds to the solve. If you get five of them then each solve is penalized by an additional two seconds. In theory somebody could DNF a solve and have +2's on the rest and still break the WR average.
Then you did something wrong. Mine is amazing, and literally I just lubed the core friction pieces, and then put maru lube on the outer layers .....
Make sure you have broken in your Dayan first. Dust builds up very quickly at first and it takes about a week of breaking in. After that's done clean it out very carefully and then lube the way Eric suggested. My Dayan doesn't have Maru lube but the core does have Lubix and it's pretty decent with just that.
He shouldnt need to break it in, I did probably 5 solves on my Dayan, and didn't touch it again until Evan Liu told me to put maru lube in my outer layers, I did that (conveniently right after 4x4 round ended...) and intantly the outer layers turned amazing. No breaking in is required for the Dayan
