Default Buy, sell and trade section?

Could a buy, sell and trade section be put up?

so maybe a list of all online websites could be put there.
people who start their own online websites can also post there.
Those who want to sell second hand stuff can also post.
people can also post to find what they want.

How long would you reckon it'd be be until that section would be flooded with x-lagoon advertisements targeting those who're too young to legally work let alone make a binding contractual agreement?

It sounds like a good feature, but I reckon it'd require heavy moderation to ensure that people don't get ripped off etc.

I like the idea; nearly every forum I've ever been involved with has a BST section. Even if it's for something completely unrelated to the forum's topic. There are a lot of things being shipped in BST forums that are much more expensive than twisty puzzles.

I have bought a cube from someone here and it was of good quality.

This section would be great for secondhand stuff but online websites, I don't agree with. The amount of spam we'll receive from rewards sites will just take over this nice and organized forums.

And yes heavy moderation will be required if there is such a section here.
Roux. looking for...a lot of mini 3x3s. maybe 5000 or so. PM for details

I don't think that's what this forum needs. Too much work, too much liability for the moderators. If someone truly has something unique no one's stopping them for putting it up on ebay and posting a link here.
And about the selling of things other than puzzles here- why? I think it would only serve to detract from the forum. I come here because it is about puzzles. Even a majority of posts in the off-topic forum are about something related to cubing.

No one said it was other than puzzles. I agree with eBay links though.

I wouldn't be opposed to a buy/sell/trade forum if it's done properly. There's one on TwistyPuzzles. It would be great for people looking for bargain/hard-to-find puzzles for their collection or unloading extra unwanted items. We'll just need to be careful and set some rules to prevent spammers and scammers, e.g. no cubelagoon type advertisements, if a transaction has to be done online it should take place via trusted sites like eBay/Paypal, etc.

I agree, with a BST section, you could put up a thread to see if there was much interest, or advertise a puzzle you're trying to sell, and then create an eBay auction or a paypal transfer.
    some puzzles. sometimes.
