OLL/PLL tends to be between 1/3rd and 2/5ths of the solve so if you were averaging around 20s they would take you 6-8 seconds.
    3X3 Warp 2: (Snl/5/12) 15.26, 18.77, 20.78.

I suggest you to slow down a little while solving and observe that is going on on the cube.
Also You might watch this video:

    And also:
    Practice, Practice, Practice !

I used to wonder this too. Eventually if you look enough you'll start noticing things that set the cases apart, once you notice them, recognition starts getting much much faster. At least that's hoe I ended up getting faster with it, just lots of looking at what made each case different from each other. Hope that helps
ZZ-solver now =D, get dem ZZ solves down yo~ you should too =D you know you want to :3

Hi, I'm a new cuber and have been cubing for 2-3 months now and been using f2l,2-look oll, and 2-look pll but still sub 65-80 seconds
What should I do besides practicing because I am doing that and need some more tips for f2l,what to learn/do during this stage, etc?
    Thanks,

I know what you mean by "complete confidence in his cube solving skills" with regard to the video (if I recall it was 20 second solves). I'm just beginning to trust myself to do stuff without turning the cube around to see if the cubes went into the right spots. Been solving hard for about two months.

Using f2l and 2 look oll/pll, i achieved sub 30 times. Other than practice, you can try improving your look-ahead to minimize pauses during solves.
    Haro.

@icubeforfun. I don't think looking ahead is what you should be focusing on right now. Sub 20/30 can be achieved without looking ahead at all. I would try to get more confidence with your f2l. You need to standardize the way you insert your pairs. Learn several easy ways to pair up pieces, and several ways to insert pieces. Don't try and do anything to difficult. Don't rush, find your 2 pieces of the f2l pair, and dont make any moves untill you know exactly how you are going to pair them up. Then stop, and don't make any moves untill you have planned how you are going to insert them. After you get better at this, you will be able to to plan how you are going to pair them up and insert them all in one look. Keep practicing untill you can see the pairs, and then insert confidently them without looking at the cube. Only when you can do this should you be starting to look ahead. Don;t run untill you can walk.
