And you don't think the repititive threads aren't tiresome? Would you rather have just one thread like this one or 50 more threads on "Petrus vs. Fridrich" and/or "How to get sub-20"?

You obviously haven't read some of the posts made by people who don't know how to use google. The only thing that gets tiresome is having to read them.

If using google is all that is required to learn cubing methods, why does this forum exist? I think many of you believe that it is easy to find information on methods like Fridrich and Petrus on your own. I spent hours and hours trying to figure it out and was finally able to, but it was not easy.

The information is difficult for a beginner to decipher in my opinion. Many of the reference pages are very terse and just list algorithms. Sure, it's all obvious to me now, but it wasn't when I started. I think some of you need to be reminded that you were beginners at some point also.

The forum is for discussion, not holding newbies' hands. If they find a link but have trouble understanding it then we can help, but we don't need 50 threads going "hai! gimme link plz!"

Then can we remind the beginners that when we were like them, we actually used Google, and, say, spent a month on our own understanding the subtleties of M2?

    Haha good times, good times.

You can try using "Cube google" too. Custom search by Sebastien Felix:

    http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=01...%3A6o_f2otwty0

(it's quite a long url, may be I should use tinyurl)
I think he can expand the number of cubing sites searched as well, as some new good sites are always popping up from time to time.

    linkmaster03, I love your post.

May I use it on a french popular Rubik's Cube forum ?
After having quoted you, and after having translated it, of course.
