I think I got somewhere around a :45-:48 before switching to Fridrich. That was a couple years ago and I'm just now back down to a 1:15 average. Kind of sad really... I was much much faster with LBL... I'm sure it was all recognition though. Using LBL I had absolutely no pauses... Using Fridrich now, I spend as much time looking as I do executing.

Well it is hard for me to swicth back to a pure LBL now, but if I use cross , corners , 2nd layer and a 4 look last layer , My times will be between 30-40 sec

I just did an average of 5 with LBL + 4LLL:

    27.83 25.35 (34.57) 26.05 (22.47) = 26.41s.

But when i switched to Fridrich my average with LBL was about 1:30 minutes.

/edit: 25.79s. The turning speed you can get with LBL is incredible and addicting .

About 50 sec. before switching to Roux. My times drastically dropped then. I really like Roux.

I did an average just now, using essentially what was my first LBL solution when I first started cubing. I updated my old method a bit with 2-gen edge 3 cycles, sune for corner orientation instead of orienting corners last, finger tricks, and a cube that is actually lubed ;-)

    30.33, 32.70, (36.58), 28.97, 29.92, 30.08, 25.88, 28.52, 28.45, 26.88, (19.79), 23.61 = 28.53

This was done LBL with a 4LLL. On the 19.79 I skipped corner permutation, so I guess it was technically a little lucky. I think I remember Dan Knights even back in 1999 was averaging sub-20 or close to it with a 4LLL just for fun (his main method was Fridrich at that point).

I also remember my "switch" when I changed from a key-hole LBL (my second, and for a while fastest method) to Fridrich. My times got a lot slower at first, but pretty quickly they improved far beyond my LBL times. For those who are currently "switching" keep with it, for whichever speed method you are switching to, they are all fast.

Before switching to Fridrich I averaged in the low 50's and my best was something in the low 40's using the Dan Brown method.
EDIT: Just took an average of 5 with 4LLL and here are my times:
    1) (36.12) Pretty good, recognition was off by a little but overall smooth.
    2) (58.62) Hehe, beginning to like this messed up on PLL, not used to doing 2 look PLL.
    3) 36.77 LOL when I let go of the timer to begin the solve the cube just flew out of my hands onto the ground! Otherwise pretty good solve.
    4) 56.07 Messed up on PLL again, other than that, good solve.
    5) 42.59 Solve was pretty much good but had a pop.
    Average: 46.03

When I used LBL Beginners method before using Fridrich my PB was 24 seconds, and 38 average.

Now I have improved something and with this method can average about 30...

    Cheers!
