Great job! That's better than my PB by a lot and I've had four or five successes. Can't wait to race you at SJC. We're a lot closer now.
I learned BLD once, but I only really use it as a party trick.

How do you use U2 for + centers? I want to start learning commutators because I know they are more efficient, but in the meantime, it would be cool to try out 5BLD, but I don't know how to do + centers.

It's very similar to X-centers. I use the UR center as the buffer and the UL center as the helper. Shooting to pieces on the F, L, R, and B faces should be easy to figure out. For the U face, the algs are the same except you use (r' E r) instead of (r' u r), for example.

For the D face I had to modify the alg a little bit. To shoot to the BL center I would use (l B2 E2 B2 l') U2 (l B2 E2 B2 l'). And of course use D, D', or D2 as a setup move to shoot to other +centers on the D face.

Thank you so much! I may have to try this out soon.

Congratulations, I hope you get that success (and some good clock times ) at SJC!
Also, you were definitely a motivating factor for me finally trying 4BLD (first success details here).

Congratulations on the 4BLD success , it took me many more attempts than 3
And I'm averaging about 20 seconds on clock right now so I'll see what I can do, haha
