Default Science Fair ideas that incorporate cubing

    Hi everyone,

My science fair is coming up in December, and I thought it would be cool to have a project about cubes/cubing. If you have any ideas that can accommodate the following, it'd be very much appreciated:
    >1-3 months of research
    >A topic that will intrigue judges, and it can be easily explained
    >I can type a project on it (title, materials, experimental procedure, graphs, at least 4 references, statement of purpose, introduction, conclusion, and other stuff I can't remember )
    >And it'd be nice if you could think of an interesting name for the title

    Thanks for your help

p.s I can't guarantee my project will be about cubing :/ but I'll try my hardest to make sure I can. C:

I won my science fair for the grade by using a 2x2 and seeing what age group could intuitively solve a face.

Right now there's a big argument as to whether the colored Dayan cubes are made out of a different plastic and whether that plastic has a lower coefficient of friction than the black cubes. It would be nice to have some data on this. The problem can be as complicated as you like. And since there's not a lot of data on the coefficients of friction of plastics, it might be a generally useful topic if done well.

Kind of basic. I might have to build on that if I choose to do it.

That sounds pretty interesting. I'll look into these when I get more suggestions from others

Or you might want to do a bit more research and see look at trends of nationality, and age, for speedsolving. (You could use WCA databases)

hm... a science project on cubes could be a really good excuse to buy a bunch of different cubes for "experimentation" haha
